There Will Be Bled
Yes, still alive. Just got back from a holiday to Lake Bled in Slovenia, and have passed into my thirties since last we spoke. My workmates got me There Will Be Blood (superb) on Blu-Ray for my birthday. Not much else to say, I’m afraid, the title of the post came long before any idea about what to write, but was too good to pass up.

Lake Bled … Slovenia … drop dead gorgeous! Especially in early October when the leaves are on the turn. Walked for hours through the woods and round the lakes and waterfalls and hardly ever met another person. Sublime!

Yes, I loved Bled too. I felt like I was in a photograph while walking around there. All that I saw of Slovenia was beautiful and impressive, including Postojna Cave.

Thanks for the comments, all. It was indeed a stunning place – not somewhere I would have picked for a holiday off my own back (long story how we ended up there), but having been I’d recommend it to anyone.
